In the contemporary world, everything is rapid. People have no time to wait for things that tests their patience. We’re all grown up in an environment that motivates us to survive life in whatever way we want. Every human wants to first satisfy his/her ego and get saved, no matter if it drives them to lie.

Some people lie habitually to portray themselves better than the others. They think hiding a truth and telling a lie will bring a positive image for themselves. Some people strategically lie to make the rivalry look as an antagonist. In contrast, others lie to make someone else happy.

Is lying sometimes morally right? No, a lie is a lie even if you use it as an occasional tool. You cannot justify the lie, since it is always wrong and harmful. A liar will deceive himself/herself at some point in life. Whilst, a person who speaks the truth will receive respect in no time.

On the outside, lying looks like you’re saving yourself. Actually, in reality, lying is tangling yourself in a mess which you can never untangle. People who lie are fearless since they believe that they won’t get caught. Sometimes, a liar will himself/herself get caught with their own actions.

You can easily find a liar if he/she matches with the following behavior.

  1. A liar will never look right into someone’s eyes while talking.
  2. A liar will exaggerate the situation more than a person who speaks the truth.
  3. A liar will tremble when you putforth an unwelcoming question.
  4. A liar will leave traces of his/her lies without noticing.
  5. A liar will get anger and frustration quickly.
  6. A liar will forget things easily.
  7. A liar will not listen to what you ask but rather stick to what he/she says.
  8. A liar will talk emotional, sometimes use crying as default tool to create sympathy.
  9. A liar will always boost himself/herself.
  10. A liar prepares hard before he/she is putforth for a discussion.

These qualities qualify that a person is a complete liar. You must not trust someone who lies.

Lying withers any relationship and builds an untrustworthy foundation that is hard to rebuild. A liar will not only harm themselves, but people surrounding them as well.

Whereas a truth, stands still even after years. The power of truth first lies in saying that you were wrong and you did a mistake. It’s always good to accept your flaws than to put blame on the others. Truth is godliness.

A person who speaks the truth doesn’t fear and lives his/her life with utmost peace. Whilst a person who lies, lives his/her life with utmost fear of getting caught.

A person who tells the truth has the following in-built qualities.

  1. Never fumbles when putforth any kind of leading questions.
  2. Always looks into your eyes when they speak.
  3. Always talks with clarity and answers only to the question putforth.
  4. Never uses emotion as a tool to gain sympathy.
  5. Never gets anger easily when irrelvant and triggering questions are asked.
  6. Always stays to the point and never changes anything in between.
  7. Always remembers the incident as it is and never build any fancies on top of it.
  8. Never boosts himself/herself.
  9. Looks cool and composed.
  10. Never plays safe game with an unwelcoming environment.

You cannot stop with one lie, you end up building two, three, and four lies to cover up that one lie. Its tiring and you won’t get anything at the end. You will lose respect and value from others. If you’ve committed a mistake, accept and move on. That’s called maturity.

Truth will win at the end. A lie will only run until it is overtaken by the truth.

If you’re struggling with people who just live with lies, give it sometime. Your truth will be beside you. When lie is an art, truth is the picasso.

Comment your thoughts on the value of truth.
