The Women in the Window
By A J Finn
An intriguing thriller!
As I started reading ‘The Women in the Window’, I got an immediate feeling that I’m watching a suspenseful psychothriller movie something like, ‘The Shining’. The suspense, rhythm, narration, and story — everything kept me reading this book without a moment to glance at the clock.
The story begins with Anna Fox living in her NY city home all alone unable to venture into the outside world. With wine bottles lying around, watching movies, none to talk to, Anna sits beside her window gazing at the people outside.
As we say, “Calm before the storm”, Anna was happy in her lonely world until the Russels move into the house across the way. A father, mother, and a teen-boy — A picture-perfect family. Anna was happy to see the new neighborhood with all happy faces.
It didn’t last for a long time until she saw something that she shouldn’t see in the neighborhood. Locked amidst imagination, reality, danger, and fear, Anna tries to untangle the tangled knots.
A slow, steady, and unpredictable story.
